Deirdre O’Connor, R.D.H. Hygienist
Deirdre is originally from Connecticut. She received her Dental Hygiene training in Boston from the Forsyth School of Dental Hygienists and an Associate Degree in Science from Northeastern University.
Deirdre has worked in many general, cosmetic, and periodontal offices and holds licenses in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island. With over 25 years of experience, Deirdre brings her top notch technical skills and attention to detail to her patients. She takes pride in providing a calm atmosphere of professionalism, understanding, and trust.
Her continuing education classes keep her on top of all the latest news, technology and advances in dentistry.
Deirdre resides in the Upper West Side close to Riverside Park where she takes advantage of biking, running, and walking. Deirdre also enjoys travel, Yoga, and visiting her 92 year old father in Rhode Island.
Alla Pisarevskaya, R.D.H. Dental Hygienist
Alla is originally from Ukraine. She attended nursing school at the Medical College of Ukraine and worked as a registered nurse in pediatrics for over 13 years.
After moving to New York she attended New York University and received her Dental Hygiene degree in 1996. As a Registered Dental Hygienist with extensive professional experience, Alla has worked in several general practices as well as periodontal, pediatric and orthodontic offices. Alla is committed to continuing education and has taken advanced coursework in anesthesia, soft tissue and periodontal management. She prides herself in providing the highest quality of treatment for her patients.
Alla resides in Brooklyn with her husband. She and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with their two daughters and their families. She has been a part of our practice since 1998.
Mary Jane Yapchulay, D.D.S. Dental Assistant
Jane was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States in 2003. She attended Manila Central University and graduated with a D.D.S. degree in 1997. The desire to truly be of service to others, combined with her drive and dedication to continue learning, prompted Jane to attend DCL College in the Philippines, where she was awarded a Bachelors degree in Nursing in 2009. Jane is also a licensed Dental Assistant in the State of New York and is certified by the Dental Assistant National Board.
Jane worked as a dental assistant for 5 years in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and has been a dental assistant in New York City for the last 8 years. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and remains committed to continuing education courses to enhance and improve her skills. She recently completed coursework in advanced digital photography, provisional crowns, posterior restorative dentistry and anterior esthetic dentistry, at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale Arizona. Jane joined Dr. Gainors team in 2006.
Her excellence in dentistry and her natural ability to make patients feel at ease makes Jane an integral part of the team. Jane resides in Queens, New York.
Terezia Godenciuc C.D.A. Dental Assistant
Terezia originates from Romania, and immigrated to the United States over 20 years ago with her husband and two children. Her dental journey began in Rochester, where she graduated from The Continental Dental Assisting School, and continued her clinical training at both Eastman Dental, and Monroe Community College, where she majored in Dental Assisting.
Terezia is a licensed Dental Assistant in the State of New York and is certified by the Dental Assistant National Board. She has worked in dental offices in both Rochester and Elmira, where she gained over fifteen years of extensive knowledge in chairside assisting, as well as laboratory and office procedures.
She is a true team player whose kindness, strong work ethic, and maternal instincts, make her extremely pleasant to be around. She is committed to continuing education to improve her skills and places value in respecting and caring for each and every patient as if they were part of her own family. She currently resides in Staten Island with her husband and is very active in her church community. Terezia also enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking.
